Avani

At first sight it’s obvious that Avani derives from different lines than our pack. Something we wanted to achieve when bringing her home and she pretty much topped our expectations.  Avani is currently the tallest of our girls and compared to our other dogs she’s high on her legs, with a beautiful, athletic body a long and straight back and harmonious angulations. Though genetically she is longhaired, she has a decent coat length which is not only easy to maintain but perfect to achieve an authentic wolfy coat. She has great pigment, a glossy deep mahogany colour with a unique red hue similar to a piece of polished mahogany wood. We never intended to get the chocolate colour into our lines and people know, colour is the last thing on our list we choose for, but we do understand people’s love for it. For us however, her loving nature and anatomy are the most interesting traits.

She’s a joyful, friendly and playful girl, always up for action. Her direct responses and will to please make her a great dog to work with. She has a decent level of independence to work out stuff on her own, she is intelligent and seeking for solutions. This dog is relying on her nose and driven perfectly by her instincts and would make a great detection dog. She’s fast and agile with high endurance. Indoors she is quiet and sweet but she loves to be outside, running next to the bike and going on long hikes. She also loves car rides. Avani is still young, but truly a girl with potential.

Trivia:

• We never planned to get a liver-coloured dog, but it was impossible to resist this little cookie when the first thing she did when she saw me was to run towards me, crawl on my lap like a queen, looking at me with her bright eyes, though she didn’t even know me at all.
• Her nick name is coffee bean. If you have ever seen those dark brown roasted beans with a little red in it and a glossy shine, then that’s how her coat looks like.
